Bettye's paintings are in museums and galleries throughout Florida and in galleries in Georgia and Virginia. The Florida Masters Collection published seven of her paintings as limited edition prints. In the movie "Fair Game," Warner Brothers procured a set of the prints to compliment the on-screen walls of Cindy Crawford's apartment.

In this grove painting, Bok Tower is featured in the background. The Bok Tower has been a part of the orange groves' skyline around Lake Wales since 1929. Edward Bok, a Dutch writer and publisher built the 205-foot tower to house a 60-bell carillon. Constructed of marble from Georgia and coquina from St. Augustine the tower is the centerpiece for a wildlife refuge and gardens.

"Back when I was in school and a member of the Beta Club Honor Society, I never dreamed there would come a day when I would be asked to furnish an image for a Beta Club competition. Especially since I had never drawn a stick person (not very well anyway) and had absolutely no experience painting--not even my fingernails as I bit them down to the "instanter"(court-speak for quick)."
